Kutoane Kutoane Chief Executive Officer
Kutoane Kutoane holds post-graduate degrees and other qualifications from the universities of Manchester and Harvard. He is an accomplished business leader with over 20 years' experience in the area of financial strategy and investment banking, with expertise in energy project financing and general infrastructure development financing. Kutoane has achieved successes in senior executive and nonexecutive leadership roles in a diverse array of privately held and public companies in South Africa and some other African countries.
   
Boni Muvevi Chief Investment Officer
Boni has over 13 years of construction and property industry experience and holds a BSc QS from the University of Natal, a Diploma in Project Management and an MBA from the University of Pretoria (Gordon Institute of Business). He has worked for large construction and finance companies, namely Group Five, African Bank (contractor finance), ABSA Barclays Bank (commercial property finance) and has been the chief investment officer of GPF since 2004. Boni has led and managed astute residential property investments for various institutions including GPF. As head of the project team, GPF has benefited immensely from his technical and commercial property finance experience. He has achieved notable results, reflected by the GPF's performance in a challenging housing finance environment over the period.
   
Komathie
Govender
Chief Financial Officer
Komathie is a chartered accountant (SA). She has over 14 years of private and public sector international auditing and financial experience. She qualified as a chartered accountant through the Auditor General of South Africa. The GPF has benefited from Komathie's extensive knowledge and understanding of the Public Finance Management Act. This is evidenced by the exemplary clean audit record since her appointment in 2007. Komathie's key strategic focus is that of good financial management and governance with the overall objective of effective and efficient service delivery to our people.
   
Ismail Carr Marketing and Communications Executive
Ismail is one of the few chartered marketers (SA) in the country and is a member of the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA). He graduated top of his class with a cum laude as a Post Graduate in Marketing with the Institute of Marketing Management (IMM). Ismail is an active board member of the Capital Chamber of Business Commerce, as well as the Tshwane Mayoral Aids Council. He has over 17 years of professional experience working in strategic marketing, group communications and public relations. His extensive experience extends into CRM, advertising, sponsorship, as well as international event management. Ismail built a successful career in companies such as the South African State Theatre, IMCG (Pty) Ltd and Telkom SA. Ismail was also responsible for the launch of various brands in the B2B market, with a strong focus into the government, corporate and business segments. He joined GPF in 2011, with his main strategic focus being to reposition the GPF brand, to facilitate growth in brand equity and to design clientfocused opportunities to attract clients to the GPF.
   
Shiraaz Lorgat Development Strategist
Shiraaz holds a post-graduate degree from UNISA. He has over 20 years of housing finance experience (mortgage, micro and project development finance). He has previously worked for ABSA, Future Bank and Nurcha. He joined the GPF project team in December 2005 and has been responsible mainly for the social housing programme. He chairs the Provincial Steering Committee (PSC) for Gauteng. He has recently moved to the CEO's office as the development strategy consultant, responsible for developing and implementing a programme of engagement with all relevant stakeholders, especially at provincial and local government level. The programme is aimed at obtaining housingdevelopment project leads and will play a catalyst role in positioning GPF as a premier funding entity to ensure sustainable human settlements within Gauteng.
   
Marjie Harrington HR Manager
Marjie has over 25 years of international working experience, with seven years at a strategic level within the Gauteng provincial government environment. She holds a BTech HRM degree and National Diploma from UNISA. Marjie has acquired a broad range of experience within the field of human resources specialising in succession planning, talent management and organisational development. Since her employment at GPF in 2008, Marjie has ensured the recognition of human resources as a strategic partner and as such has been a key participant in the development and achievement of GPF's strategic objectives.
